Speed Cameras (photo radar)
According to the consultants hired by the City of Ottawa's Traffic and Parking Operations branch, the installation of speed cameras is the only viable option available to make the installation of a crosswalk at Cathcart possible. Transportation Committee and City Council passed a motion in 2008 supporting a request be made to the provincial government asking for the permission to use speed cameras in Ottawa at the municipal level.
